VCF small groups gather to encourage growth in Christ in one another, for fellowship and for mutual support. Small groups are characterized by loving relationships, voluntary accountability, servant-hood and evangelism. Each member uses their gifting and calling in God to serve other members in the group. Group members provide foundational pastoral care for one another in an atmosphere of love, acceptance and forgiveness. Group members also serve to encourage one
Common Ground is our Young Adults Ministry. This group is designed to minister to anyone fresh out of high school through 20-somethings. It doesn't matter if you're single or married, in college or working, this is the place for you! It's your opportunity to dive into God's Word and discuss its application to life with other young adults. Common Ground meets on the first and third Saturdays of the month
The 3rd Friday of each month will be a time to “hangout”, chat, be encouraged, play games, etc. Each month may be a little different, but the goal is fellowship, fun and encouragement! We are calling it “Hens & Chicks” with the idea of all ages meeting. Fran Smith is hosting on September 19th. Please bring a snack to share, games and a lawn chair.
Student Ministry When: Wednesday Evening 7:00-8:30 PM Where: VCF Fellowship Hall Who: Students in 7-12 grades. What: Vibrant worship geared towards this generation. Scripture driven message aimed at the hearts of students. Intensive small group discussion with adult leaders. Fellowship and snacks at the conclusion of the meeting. Regular fellowship activities and nights monthly, other bibles study and activities scheduled throughout the year. Our goal is to come along side
A support group for anyone who is divorced or separated will begin next Sunday, September 14, 9:00—9:55 AM. The thirteen week session will end on December 7. The DVD led sessions and workbooks ($10) are designed to address the most critical issues people face when going through the pain of broken marriage covenant. Logan Acres Residents Need God Honoring Friends—maybe you? A half day seminar on Saturday, September 20, can help you befriend seniors who are unable to attend church. This includes conversation starter tips for developing listening skills. Included are principles and how-to’s for leading friends to Jesus. This seminar requires travel. This annual event at Marmon Valley Farm is scheduled for Sunday, September 28, 5:30 PM. VCF supplies the hotdogs, buns, condiments, beverages and table service. Each family is asked to bring a side dish to share. The hayride is $3 for ages 2 and older with a maximum of $10 per family.
